Nice examples for granted wishes

Hi Wishers,

We wanted to make you smile and tell you about a few examples of wishes that were granted thanks to you!
- A member who knits blankets for foster children got her wish when she received extra skeins of yarn!
- A member wished for the acceptance and encouragement to accept himself and he received overwhelming support from the community!
-A member wished for courage to face her past as a victim of sexual abuse and the community provided support.
- One member wished for friends all over the world and her wish was granted almost over night (I think it's our quickest grant to this day).
-One member launched his non-profit initiative and received support from the community.

We are happy to see our community develop and we just wanted to share some of the magic that has been happening here at Wishood!

We encourage you to please tell your friends, family and bloggers about Wishood or about particular wishes that touched you.

Best Wishes,
Keren

Testimonials for the spirit – letters by users.

We are fascinated by both Wishers and Granters at Wishood and want to share some of the letters we received. They tell a great deal of the story.

athomas418 made a wonderful wish! in his words: “I wish I could drive a train. I'd love to ride for fun but I also long to be a real train engineer. I want to show my son that I can be somebody...that wishes really can come true.” Wow! it would be great to see it happen. Check out this wish and the entries made.

We want we received an email from this great Wisher and we can share it with you:
Wow! I never expeted such a great response. The feedback that I've been getting is so amazing. There are so many nice people out there with really good ideas and it would be so great if my wish could actually come true. I never really expected such a great return and I appreciate everyone's thoughts and ideas. This has inspired me to look through the other wishes and see if I can help to make someone's come true. Thank you again!
To us, that’s the idea. Every Wisher is a potential Granter and could wish to help someone else.

When we saw Emmanuel’s first wish we felt we have the opportunity to meet someone who’s exceptional. In following days it was clear that Emmanuel has commendable granting capabilities in him and he surly has touched quite a few people by now. We wished (and were of course granted ;-) to share his following email to us:

Thank you for making such a huge positive difference in my life, within a very short period. www.wishood.com is one of the best discoveries I have made in my entire life. I am particularly touched by the sincerity and openness with which wishes are made, and the willingness of others to grant or at least facilititate the granting of such wishes. At wishood.com I have found that despite the selfishness and greed that have characterised the modern world, there are still many selfless individuals who want to share their love unconditionally and to help make life better and more meaningful to others. Thank God, I have found you and wishood.com. Here will I remain forever, and I also renew my sincere commitment to helping change and make a positive difference in our world.

I have been sharing the link with a number of friends then. Please, if you know of any thing I can do for you and for this wonderful, innovative and timely vision and mission of yours, please do not hesitate to ask me.
With kind regards and best wishes,
Emmanuel

No need to add…
Looking forward to seeing you out there

Best Wishes

Wishood re-launch

Dear friends,

Wishood has a totally new look now, thanks to you - our users! When we saw how you were using our former ‘anything goes wishlist” application we knew we were on to something. By voicing amazing wishes and expressing will to grant wishes for others (even complete strangers!) you clearly indicated your wish for a “wishing and granting” community solution. We got the message and re-built Wishood to allow for just that.

The new Wishood is the place to publicize all your heart’s desires with friends, family, the world. Once a wish has been made, people can offer to grant it for you! Wishes could be granted in parts by several great people - providing advice, making contact and more... actually granting a wish.

Your profile as a user is based on your wishes and your granting activities – the offers you made for others. The more you are active in referring to other people’s wishes the more attention and appreciation you wishes could get.

We will continue to improve Wishood for you and hope to build this wonderful place with your help, bringing more good people on board. There are already wonderful examples out there demonstrating unique brotherhood, we are very encouraged by that! It is absolutely great to see how people reach out for each other. We welcome you to participate and get the feel of that too.

Best Wishes!

Valentine’s Day was great!

The concept of granting a wish to your Valentine was well received and used by lovers world wide! We are very happy for it :-) It made Wishood a little bit famous - as we wish it to be!

Coupled with our special widget for Valentine’s Day it caught the attention of bloggers, journalists and widgets directories - to mention and thank only a few:

* Mashable – a popular social networking news blog wrote about us (for the second time!) another ‘second’ was with Six Degrees of Inspiration -Thanks.
* Wishood was featured by leading bloggers from The Netherlands, Italy , China… it is good to globalization of our wishing concept!
* Our widget recieved top ratings (still in the top rated list now) and was featured on the front page at Widgetbox during the days before v-day … about 100 subscriptions in few days, not bad..!
* A famous tech newspaper, San Jose Mercury News from California, US mentioned us as the “one place to wish upon the Web” Cool!

So lovely!

Actually, we think that Valentine’s Day should be celebrated more frequently.. we all should find more opportunities to grant wishes to our loved ones, like the ones we saw excahnged:
"A Dinner Cruise, Just me, you and the ocean..."
"A candle lit bath for two"
"I promise to cook you breakfast for a whole week, No more granola bars for breakfast!"

Won’t it be fun to grant a romantic wish occasionally?. Well, we kept the Granting Card with these and more romantic wishes for you, for year-round use.

Enjoy and… thanks!

Special widget for Valentine’s Day!

Hi,

For Valentine’s Day - offer your readers / visitors / friends to grant wishes with love. Promote gifts or share your ideas!

We were looking to spread the word – Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to grant a wish - by sending a Granting Card (see my earlier post). We came up with this widget whereby you could recommend wishes to others!

Add your 3 recommended wishes for Valentine’s Day, or select from popular people’s wishes. Users will view any related link you can provide per wish and upon clicking “Grant it!” would be redirected to Wishood.com for sending a nice and free granting card to their valentine.

Laura Childs took the widget and wrote a lovely post :-)

…If you haven’t seen or heard of it yet, prepare yourself. You’ll likely be hearing about it soon. The developers are busy, they’ve even created a widget that bloggers, site owners, myspace users can insert into their own pages….

Customize and take this widget too!

Valentine's Day idea - grant your Valentine a wish with love!

Hello you lovers,

Valentine's Day calls for wishing. Granting someone’s wish is a wonderful gift and a thoughtful gesture, a great add-on or upgrade to the customary chocolates-and-flowers them. Granting a memorable wish may win you as much appreciation as would a nice present (and it’s bound to get you even more kisses ;-).

We've recently set a Granting Card with good looks including many inspiring ideas and growing - based on people's wishes. Everything goes: cool gifts, 'things to do' (..a candle lit bath for two..), promises (..to only use my computer for one hour a night..) and many more ideas...

Check it out here, click the "get inspired" button (where the arrow is pointing) to be inspired and browse thru ideas for wishes. Good wishing!

Tell us how it was!..

New home for our wishers community

Hi,

We uploaded a new version making quite a few improvements. First and foremost we now provide the basic wish exchange ‘playground’ for our forming community of wishers. We show select wishes at the home page directing to people’s Wishlists, also some featured wishers (nice pic and cool wishes could make you one ;-). Anyone could comment on other people’s wishes and get exposure this way, as your comment will lead (if you’re a member) to your Wishlist page. We are looking to see comments made – tips and feedback people provide other people on how to make their wishes come true. Yep, it’s going to be interesting. We are most attentive to hear of wishes that are granted by generous people to others. This no doubt is a demonstration of the wonderful.

Other ways for you to share your anything goes Wishood Wishlist, is to send a link out to your friends or add an icon to your page or blog (find it in 'my wishes' page under share Wishlist). Here’s mine ;-)

See you out there!

Wishes are granted! – Testimonials…!

It is so exiting (can one get used to it at all?!) to see people use our site. People are visiting, making wishes growing the wishes reservoir.. absolutely fantastic. The biggest prize is to identify wish come true stories. It is one thing to see it in our system (wish status changes from “new” (i.e. sent or added to wishlist) to “GRANTED” !!) but completely another to get to hear the story!. Here’s one we got:

I used Wishood to send a wish card to a girl about a date and it worked and now we are seeing each other :-) Wishood has already brought me 1 VERY good vibe!!!

We would love to hear how Wishood was helpful for you in making your wishes come true. I am sure others will too. You are most welcome to write us !

Best wishes
