Nice examples for granted wishes

Hi Wishers,

We wanted to make you smile and tell you about a few examples of wishes that were granted thanks to you!
- A member who knits blankets for foster children got her wish when she received extra skeins of yarn!
- A member wished for the acceptance and encouragement to accept himself and he received overwhelming support from the community!
-A member wished for courage to face her past as a victim of sexual abuse and the community provided support.
- One member wished for friends all over the world and her wish was granted almost over night (I think it's our quickest grant to this day).
-One member launched his non-profit initiative and received support from the community.

We are happy to see our community develop and we just wanted to share some of the magic that has been happening here at Wishood!

We encourage you to please tell your friends, family and bloggers about Wishood or about particular wishes that touched you.

Best Wishes,
Keren

New version

Hi all,

We aired an improved version incorporating:
- Categories (we sort them, soon you will)
- User points - based on a member’s Wishing & Granting activities and popularity of entries
- Wish stars now count – we show the most starred wishes on top. So get friends award you stars.
- Made some design and navigation improvements. More to follow soon.

We see wonderful content and brotherhood. We hope to see wishes promoted outside wishes – if you see one you can help out by posting about it anywhere relevant – go ahead and help out, make someone happy. Together we can build this wonderful place!

See you out there ;-)

Best wishes
Lior

Testimonials for the spirit – letters by users.

We are fascinated by both Wishers and Granters at Wishood and want to share some of the letters we received. They tell a great deal of the story.

athomas418 made a wonderful wish! in his words: “I wish I could drive a train. I'd love to ride for fun but I also long to be a real train engineer. I want to show my son that I can be somebody...that wishes really can come true.” Wow! it would be great to see it happen. Check out this wish and the entries made.

We want we received an email from this great Wisher and we can share it with you:
Wow! I never expeted such a great response. The feedback that I've been getting is so amazing. There are so many nice people out there with really good ideas and it would be so great if my wish could actually come true. I never really expected such a great return and I appreciate everyone's thoughts and ideas. This has inspired me to look through the other wishes and see if I can help to make someone's come true. Thank you again!
To us, that’s the idea. Every Wisher is a potential Granter and could wish to help someone else.

When we saw Emmanuel’s first wish we felt we have the opportunity to meet someone who’s exceptional. In following days it was clear that Emmanuel has commendable granting capabilities in him and he surly has touched quite a few people by now. We wished (and were of course granted ;-) to share his following email to us:

Thank you for making such a huge positive difference in my life, within a very short period. www.wishood.com is one of the best discoveries I have made in my entire life. I am particularly touched by the sincerity and openness with which wishes are made, and the willingness of others to grant or at least facilititate the granting of such wishes. At wishood.com I have found that despite the selfishness and greed that have characterised the modern world, there are still many selfless individuals who want to share their love unconditionally and to help make life better and more meaningful to others. Thank God, I have found you and wishood.com. Here will I remain forever, and I also renew my sincere commitment to helping change and make a positive difference in our world.

I have been sharing the link with a number of friends then. Please, if you know of any thing I can do for you and for this wonderful, innovative and timely vision and mission of yours, please do not hesitate to ask me.
With kind regards and best wishes,
Emmanuel

No need to add…
Looking forward to seeing you out there

Best Wishes

Wishood re-launch

Dear friends,

Wishood has a totally new look now, thanks to you - our users! When we saw how you were using our former ‘anything goes wishlist” application we knew we were on to something. By voicing amazing wishes and expressing will to grant wishes for others (even complete strangers!) you clearly indicated your wish for a “wishing and granting” community solution. We got the message and re-built Wishood to allow for just that.

The new Wishood is the place to publicize all your heart’s desires with friends, family, the world. Once a wish has been made, people can offer to grant it for you! Wishes could be granted in parts by several great people - providing advice, making contact and more... actually granting a wish.

Your profile as a user is based on your wishes and your granting activities – the offers you made for others. The more you are active in referring to other people’s wishes the more attention and appreciation you wishes could get.

We will continue to improve Wishood for you and hope to build this wonderful place with your help, bringing more good people on board. There are already wonderful examples out there demonstrating unique brotherhood, we are very encouraged by that! It is absolutely great to see how people reach out for each other. We welcome you to participate and get the feel of that too.

Best Wishes!
